Steve
Born and raised in Silicon Valley, avoiding technology was impossible. My father was highly iterested in electronics and computers so I was never in a household without one. While that seems common place today, it wasn't so in the early 1980s. The deep love of trying to understand how things work started me down a path to simple circuits and in gradeschool to begin to learn to program. Making simple games in basic brought a lot of joy which pushed me to do more, to think about what to build or learn next. At age 9 I became a licensed Ameteur radio operator, which requires a test of understanding of basic radio technologies. That love didn't stop there and over the years I've worked on many projects and built many computers and networks, including becoming the head of my high school's system administation team.
Tech isn't my only passion. I've always found myself wanting to know how people think and why they do what they do. This has lead me down the path to studying religion, spirituality, and faith which in turn brought me to join the Freemasons fraternity. I studied Psychology as a college major, but due to having to move across country, ended the formal education in that discipline. However I still spend a lot of time researching and helping other people understand more about themselves.

Hope Chest is a place to send and recieve positive messages for when they are most needed. This app is driven by a strong desire to make an impact in understanding of depression and tools to help. This was a solo project and one I plan to continue as time permits. I also implemented a YubiCloud authentication hook to allow users to sign in using a Yubikey associated with their account for one touch sign in.
An app designed to improve efficiency by making drop downs to simplify command line scripting. Primarily designed as a concept for a text-based game, but can be adapted for any CLI scripting. Results show a 50% decrease in creation time with potential for significantly more at scale.
